KS5 Science Lead (Deputy Head of Faculty)

We wish to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Science on a permanent basis, with the additional responsibility of leading the KS5 Science curriculum. 

Salary £32,189 — £49,274 (Academy Qualified Teachers Scale) plus £5,000 ARA (Academy Responsibility Allowance)

The Science faculty is led by the Head of Faculty who in turn is supported by three Deputy Heads of Faculty, of which you will be one, each with a specific remit for KS3 Science, KS4 Science and KS5 Science.

This is a unique opportunity to join a successful split-site academy as part of a well-established and collaborative Science department.  

Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the successful candidate will be an outstanding Science teacher able to teach their specialism of Biology, Physics or Chemistry to KS5, able to demonstrate impact in a position of responsibility or the potential to achieve this, and have an enthusiasm that will inspire students to outstanding outcomes. 

Our academy operates across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5. The appointed candidate will initially be based at our Upper Academy in order to carry out their KS5 ARA duties.
