Year 9 Students Visit Shakespeare’s Globe

A group of Year 9 students recently had the fantastic opportunity to visit Shakespeare’s Globe in London.

An expert guide provided our students with a fascinating tour of the Globe Theatre auditorium, vividly recreating colourful stories of the 1599 Playhouse, the London Shakespeare would have known and the Globe reconstruction process in the 1990s. Students also learned some amazing facts about William Shakespeare that will help them give them a good understanding in their English studies.

“The tour was a humorous and fun experience. The thing that caught my attention was the heavenly roof at the top of the stage.” Leon.S

“The visit to the Globe will help us apply contextual knowledge when studying the great work of Shakespeare.” Annie.R

“The Globe Theatre is an incredible piece of architecture that incapsulates Shakespeare." George.C

“The Globe Theatre experience was a very educational and fun event. I will take some of what I learnt into my future experiences with Shakespeare.” Lee.M
