Year 7 Explore the Tower of London

A Day of History, Culture and Live Performance at One of London’s Most Iconic Landmarks.

Our Year 7 students recently enjoyed a fun-filled and educational visit to the iconic Tower of London — a day packed with discovery, history, and unforgettable experiences.

As part of the visit, students explored the historic fortress and learned about its fascinating past, including stories of royalty, prisoners, and ancient traditions. One of the highlights of the day was viewing the world-famous Crown Jewels — a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Students also encountered the legendary Yeoman Warders (also known as Beefeaters), who shared tales of the Tower’s history and its most famous inhabitants. Adding to the immersive experience, students had the chance to watch a live outdoor performance of a Chaucer-inspired play by costumed actors, bringing medieval literature to life in a fun and engaging way.

“Seeing the Crown Jewels was amazing — it was the best part of the visit.” Ray.B

“I enjoyed speaking to the actors who performed the play inside the Tower of London.” Amelia.J
