Community Joins Students to Celebrate Garden Success
Guests enjoy tours, fresh refreshments, and a celebration of student dedication.
To mark the success of the Lower Academy’s ongoing allotment and garden project, students hosted a special celebration event to thank everyone who has supported them along the way.
Representatives from Tesco Mayflower Retail Park, the Basildon Round Table, Canvey Island Horticultural Society, and our dedicated volunteers were invited to enjoy the afternoon alongside students. Guests were treated to a tour of the Quad area, where students proudly showcased the allotment spaces they have worked hard to cultivate.
In true garden-to-table style, students prepared refreshments using produce grown in the allotment; a tasty reflection of their efforts and teamwork throughout the year.
A big thank you goes to Tesco and the Round Table for their generous extra donations for the event. The students are already excited to put the new resources to good use in the garden as they continue to grow and improve the space.
