Both The Upper and Lower Academy have been successful in obtaining the Silver Award for supporting young carers in school.

As part of an Active Learning Day students were tasked with producing a newspaper where they would research and write content of their choice. 

Since the recent announcement that over 10% of public libraries are threatened with closure, many people across Britain have been actively campaigning to reverse the decision, none more so than two of our students Antonia and Natalija.

A group of our Sixth Form students studying English, Art and Photography recently spent 4 days in Paris visiting famous landmarks, galleries and soaking up the ambience of the city.

On Wednesday 6th March we were visited by Jo Lucas from St Luke’s Hospice to talk to some of our students about the organisation.
