The Basildon Lower Academy Summer School has once again proved to be a huge success, giving our new Year 7 students the perfect introduction to life at the academies.

Over the three days, students took part in a wide range of lessons and team-building activities designed to help them build confidence, make friends, and settle into their new school community. It was fantastic to see new friendships forming so quickly, which is one of the key aims of running this event; ensuring that students feel more relaxed and ready for September.

Staff also valued the opportunity to meet both students and their families ahead of the new school year. These early connections help create a supportive environment, allowing students to start their Basildon Academies journey feeling welcomed and encouraged.
