Maths
Our Vision
The Maths Department at Basildon Lower Academy aims to develop confident, resilient learners who have a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and can apply them effectively in a range of contexts. We strive to foster a positive attitude towards mathematics, where all students feel capable of success and are encouraged to challenge themselves.
Our curriculum is carefully sequenced to ensure that students build secure foundations at Key Stage 3, which are continually revisited and developed over time. Through high-quality teaching, modelling, and purposeful practice, students gain the skills and confidence needed to thrive as they progress through their mathematical journey.
